The Magic Hour

Last night before dark my buddy and I took a 90-minute drive in our area and we saw more than 80 deer. That's a lot of deer, more than I ever saw back in the days when I held a spotlight out the window after dark.

Today's column in the Jamestown Gazette is about that "magic hour" (actually a magic 90 minutes) when deer are on the move. If you want to see them, if you want to see more than just reflective eyes from 150 yards away, that's the time to be out there. If you want to see more deer under better conditions than you'll have when spotting deer, read my November 15, 2021 article "The Magic Hour," and take a drive.
