The Deer Hunters' Almanac Now Available!

Writer's picture: Steve Sorensen Steve Sorensen

Published by Deer & Deer Hunting magazine, the annual Deer Hunters' Almanac collects a wealth of whitetail content under 8 chapter headings. (See photograph below for Table of Contents.)

Since the 2014 issue, I’ve had the privilege of being responsible for Chapter 7 under the heading “Whitetail Nation.” This year's chapter includes the latest on CWD and what hunters need to know about this dreaded disease, plus the most recent deer harvest statistics from 44 states and Canadian provinces. I’ve also written the first article in Chapter 2 on the effectiveness of Smokey's pre-orbital gland lure in buck scrapes.

But forget about me. With contributors including Editor-in-Chief Dan Schmidt, Field Contributor Steve Bartylla, the late Field Editor Charles Alsheimer, Don Higgins, Field Contributor Dr. Steve Ditchkoff, Patrick Meitin, Jeremy Flinn, Jason Snavely, David Hart, Matt Harper, Bob Robb, Al Raychard, and many more, you’re getting insights available nowhere else.

The 2021 Almanac will be on newsstands from now until January 2021, but it will probably sell out sooner, so grab your copy now. It’s the best annual summary of deer hunting expertise and facts.
