Pretty Foil Floaters Rain Danger on Wildlife

Writer's picture: Steve Sorensen Steve Sorensen

In this week's column I'm talking to hunters, as always. But I'm especially talking to non-hunters because too many of them don't seem to realize this is a problem. It's common, but not commonly talked about. Mylar balloons. Yes, they're a problem.

I've found so many that I can pretty much guarantee every hunter has found them. If you agree that it's a problem, read "Pretty Foil Floaters Rain Danger on Wildlife" in this week's Jamestown Gazette. Then share it far and wide with non-hunters. It's an easy problem to solve. If hunters keep picking them up, and partiers stop letting them go, it's a problem we can solve together.
