Does Patience Kill Turkeys?

Writer: Steve Sorensen Steve Sorensen

Every turkey hunter has heard it — "Patience kills more turkeys than anything else." It's one of those things that's almost but not quite true.

Stay with me for a minute, and read my column "Does Patience Kill Turkeys?" I'm going to be a contrarian here, for good reason. It's because there's a difference between patience and persistence, and most people get the two confused.

Back when I was a more patient hunter I didn't get as many turkeys. Today I'm a more persistent hunter, and I get more turkeys. There's a reason for that, and you'll read it in "Does Patience Kill Turkeys?" in this week's Jamestown Gazette. See if you agree.
