An Awareness Ribbon for Hunting?

by Steve Sorensen | The Everyday Hunter®

Is there a way to educate the public on what hunting is all about? How can we communicate the value of hunting to non-hunters? Teacher John Annoni has found a way. He has developed a hunting awareness ribbon, and it's not only a way to tell people how important hunting is, it's a way to raise money for Camp Compass Academy, a program he founded to introduce inner city kids to hunting.

Not only that, he invites anyone to join him in making hunting a front and center topic for discussion, but in raising money for YOUR hunting-related cause. Your sportsman's club, your youth organization, your trap team can use the ribbon to raise money and to get the word out that hunting is the best way we have to support wildlife and to connect people to nature.

Read all about it in this week's column titled "An Awareness Ribbon for Hunting?" in the Jamestown Gazette.
