Patience Wears Down Mental Sharpness

Turkey hunters are persistent. They get up long before the crack of dawn, and go hard for a month. That's persistence, and it makes us tired.

And then there's patience. Fishermen are known for patience, but turkey hunters are much closer to the "10" end of the 1-to-10 scale of patience than fishermen are. I don't know if a fisherman has ever been too patient, but a turkey hunter can be.

Read "Patience Wears Down Mental Sharpness" in the May 9, 2022 issue of the Jamestown Gazette. I talk about one of the ways patience can hurt you. You've probably been hurt by patience yourself!
