Hunting, Fishing, and COVID-19 Questions

Updated: Mar 31, 2020

Everybody has questions during this corona virus crisis, but few people have answers to the big questions. We certainly do not know when it's going to be over, but we do have an answer to one common question hunters and fishermen are asking. "Are the annual trout and spring gobbler seasons going to be cancelled?"

No. Fish and game departments, at least in New York and Pennsylvania, are not even thinking about cancelling the seasons, though there have been a few minor adjustments. Despite the self-isolation and self-quarantine advisories, you can still get out there and do your spring thing.

To see how COVID-19 relates to the spring seasons, read "Hunting, Fishing, and COVID-19 Questions" in the March 30 issue of the Jamestown Gazette.
