The November/December 2019 issue of Turkey Country magazine (NWTF) carries my article about the Warrior Trail Gobblers chapter of the NWTF and their huge JAKES event. If you want to create a day-long event involving as many kids as possible, here's how to do it. What a great day it was for 100 kids in 2018, and 150 kids in 2019. In those two years they harvested over 50 gobblers, and were introduced to outdoor interests that will carry them the rest of their lives.
